Birth Pool Practice - Hints & Tips
How to lay out, fill up and put away your Birth Pool in preparation for home labour / birth
For anyone thinking of labouring or giving birth at home in a birth pool, this mini-course has been designed just for you.
I've experienced dozens of home births with my doula clients where I've prepared their pools and loan out several of my own birth pools to my group course attendees. I have laboured in the pool shown twice (including one water birth).
It can be tricky to know what to do with them when it comes to preparing your space, putting up the pool, filling it and then putting it away.
This guide allows you the chance to watch our handy tips and tricks, filmed during our own practice run, so that you don't leave anything to chance on the birth day!
It's essential to make sure you have all the correct equipment, have sterilised and working pumps + hoses and that the pool you have is comfortable.
Our tips come from two of our own births, plus advice we were given from the home birth midwives along the way.
Available as a stand-alone mini-course or as part of my HypnoBirthing online study course.
